Nov. 1946 Founder, Mr.Iwao Sakamaki, established SAKAMAKI IRON WORKS to produce wood working machinery.
May 1949 Start of manufacturing of Hemp-textile Sewing Machines.
Apr. 1951 The factory was transferred to Drill Chuck manufacturing.
Jun. 1951 The organization was changed to a corporation, named SAKAMAKI MFG.  CO.,LTD.
Oct. 1957 Nation-wide “YUKIWA” Group (Sales Network) was organized.
Dec. 1957 Approval of JIS indication on chucks for portable electric power drills.
Mar. 1962 Start of manufacturing of Collet Chucks.
Oct. 1963 Approval of JIS indication on Drill Chucks for machine tools.
Feb. 1965 Opening of Tokyo office.
May 1965 Tap Chucks developed.
Sep. 1966 Manual Index Tables developed.
Nov. 1967 Automatic Index Tables developed.
Jul. 1968 KAWAGUCHI FACTORY built.
Jul. 1970 Start of manufacturing of Keyless Drill Chucks.
Sep. 1971 Quick Chucks developed.
Sep. 1972 Opening of Osaka office.
Aug. 1975 Tap Holders developed.
Jun. 1976 NC Rotary Tables developed.
Nov. 1978 Start of manufacturing of Drill Chucks for Hobby-use.
Aug. 1980 KOHWA SEIKI CO., LTD. established.
Jan. 1982 Drill Mill Chucks developed.
May 1983 Start of manufacturing of Duplex-holding Tools.
Aug. 1983 KAINOSWA Factory built.
Mar. 1984 Our Drill Chuck was equipped with Space Shuttle “Challenger” and has been used for space works.
Oct. 1984 KAINOSWA Factory built more.
Oct. 1984 Development of NC Coupling Index Rotary Tables.
Dec. 1986 Pencil Mill Chucks developed.
Sep. 1987 CNC Rotary Table SNC Series developed.
Apr. 1988 Mr. Iwao Sakamaki assumes the chairman, and Mr. Kazuo Sakamaki assumes the president.
Dec. 1988 Keyless Drill Chucks for cordless electric drills developed.
Nov. 1989 Corporate name changed to YUKIWA SEIKO INC.
Mar. 1990 Awarded with Economics Promotion Prize of Niigata Pref.
Aug. 1990 Private Placement Bond issued.
Aug. 1991 Opening of new Head Office & Factory
Sep. 1991 Establishment of YUKIWA SEIKO U.S.A., INC. in North Carolina.
Mar. 1992 YUKIWA INTERNATIONAL INC. established.
May 1993 Opening of Nagoya office.
Mar. 1994 Super G1 Chucks developed.
Nov. 1995 CNC Rotary Table “YNC Series” developed.
Sep. 1996 KAINOSWA Factory built more.
Aug. 1997 Approval of ISO9001.
Feb. 1999 New Drill Mill Chucks developed.
Jul. 1999 All-metal Sleeve Keyless Chucks for Portable Drills developed.
Oct. 1999 Shrink-fit-holders developed.
Jan. 2000 Controller “BC1” for CNC Rotary Table developed.
Feb. 2000 Awarded JSAI “Matsubara Invention Prize” for Keyless Drill Chucks with Lock Device.
Nov. 2000 Awarded “Technology Prize” of Niigata Prefectural Governor.
Nov. 2000 CNC Tilting Rotary Table “TNT Series” developed.
Apr. 2001 Awarded with Minister of Science and Technology at development of industrial chucks.
May 2002 KAINOSWA Factory built more.
Jan. 2003 CNC Rotary Table “JNC Series” developed.
Mar. 2003 Tokyo office - moving to the new location.
Dec. 2003 Approval of ISO14001
Nov. 2004 Direct Drive CNC Rotary Table developed.
Jan. 2005 Hybrid G1 Chucks developed.
Aug. 2006 Approval of ISO9001:2000.
Apr. 2008 Approval of new JIS mark indication on Drill Chucks.
May 2008 Kazuo Sakamaki, president, awarded “Medal with Yellow Ribbon” at development of industrial chucks.
Nov. 2008 Opening of YUKIWA SEIKO INC. SHANGHAI REP. OFFICE.
Dec. 2009 Elected as one of 1400 Job-Creating Companies by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
Aug. 2011 Green G1 Chucks developed.
Oct. 2012 Green G1 Chucks win the "Good Design Award" by Japanese design promotion meeting sponsorship. Also elected as "Good Design best 100."
Nov. 2012 Green G1 Chucks win the "Frontier Good Design Award." (The Award of President of Small and Medium Enterprise Agency)
Nov. 2013 All stainless keyed drill chucks developed.
Jul. 2014 Collet Chucks "A series and B series" developed.
Nov. 2014 2nd factory at Head Office built.
may. 2015 Satsumashiranami circle awarded the Niigata prefectural governor award at the Niigata district QC circle meeting.
